Cannot edit plan on my account online or via app

I am unable to edit my plan features for my two lines via Plans and Services online or via the app. I have updated the app.  When you select Edit Plans or Edit Services I get a return prompting you to use the app both online and in the app say to select “Exciting news! The best way to manage your account is via the myCricket app. Don't have the app? Learn more or visit your app store to download it today.” 

Do I have to go to my local store?

Why can’t I do this myself online or via the app?
