Hot spot

I purchased a phone Samsung s9+. Is working perfectly. The hotspot is working, yet the cricket is not allowing me to purchase that monthly fee for hotspot, the rules states you must choose the right phone to work with that hotspot feature. My phone us working. Yet I'm not allowed to use it, I want to pay the hotspot, so I can use my iPad since my vision is not that great, the cricket is telling me the phone does not qualify. I am a with cricket for past 8 years. I don't understand why can't I just pay the fee for hotspot and let me use it????????

@6027185095 Adding the Mobile Hotspot feature to an eligible rate plan lets you use your phone as a wireless access point, but you must own a compatible phone for the Hotspot feature to work. Below is a link to our list of compatible devices and it looks like the S9+ is not a compatible device:
