Hotspot Issues

I recently switched to Cricket from Straight Talk because Cricket offered MUCH better coverage in my area than Straight Talk. I am very satisfied with the switch in that I can now browse the web on my phone without having to sit in my car in the driveway.

However, I am having an issue with the hotspot. Despite Straight Talk's inferior coverage out here, I was still able to put my phone on to charge in my car and run my mobile hotspot to play online games. Now you would think that since Cricket has better coverage their hotspot would perform better, right?

WRONG. My laptop will connect but it runs so slow that it is essentially useless. What gives, Cricket? Why is my connection so strong on my cell phone but your mobile hotspot is absolute garbage?

And yes, I tried USB tethering and it was even slower. This is unacceptable. Straight Talk's hotspot is included in their $55 plan for free and works dramatically better than the one you guys charge $10/month for. Get it together.

Hey there! Welcome to our Cricket Community Forum and thank you for your post. We would like to look into this issue further for you. Please reach out to our support team on Facebook (m.me/cricketnation) or Twitter (@cricketsupport) for further assistance.

I contacted Crickett this morning re: a new phone that i bought 2 months ago and i can't seem to get any help and that's consider bad customer service. At a time like that every customer should be consider as a piece of gold. I started my process since 9 AM and it's actually 5;13 PM and until now i can't seem to go anywhere and because of that i have a very bad headache and my stress is killing me. I hope everyone get fired for their poor lousy work and please stop telling people to buy insurance or warranty because when something happened it feels like people are begging. Improve the service and after that ask for money. From the CEO to the warranty department, all of you should be unemployed just like myself.

Nokia 3.1 Phone is a piece of crap. In 2 days the phone won't get any charge and in one hour the phone jumped from 26% to 82% and it was hot from every angle so things like that make a customer really upset. If you can't take of your clients then you might as well close the doors

Straight talk claims the first to introduce a clear talk program with a mobile hotspot. The alternative mobile carrier provides prepaid wireless service in collaboration with TracFone and Walmart. The fact is that the networks like T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon extend their support, thus it offers both CDMA and GSM applications. Now, here we are with Straight talk mobile hotspot hack to enable internet connection to other devices when needed.
