For GOD only knows the reason why last night in the middle of the night I must have set this up in how to turn the phone on and I have not a clue what it is. Is there a way around this?

Hello. Welcome to the Cricket community and thank you for your post. Most Android devices utilize a backup pin and can also use the Gmail account on the phone to unlock a device with a forgotten pass code. Just follow the prompts for the forgotten pattern.
