Sim Card Errors
I’ve been having this issue for awhile and I’ve tried customer service before, but no luck. It has now spanned multiple phones.(I have a BYOP sim) I don’t have access to services that used to work. If I try to turn on things like call waiting, or use call forwarding I get “Network or SIM card error”. The last time I tried to contact customer service, they said there was an issue with a prior call forwarding request pending and they would clear it and set the call forwarding for me. They did. It worked. Then I went to my settings to turn the forwarding off. It gave me the same error. The CS rep had to turn it back off. Call forwarding would be very useful to me for work and I can’t set it myself. The call waiting not working is also frustrating. Has anyone else had issues with this that they were able to resolve?
What Bands does Cricket use
My Moxee Hotspot from Cricket shows 3 and sometimes 4 Bars inside my house. Even with 3 or 4 bars the internet is slow and that is if the internet works at all. From noon to midnight it shows service but you can’t even open a webpage it times out. I want to buy me a signal booster to see if that helps but I need to know what Bands Cricket uses. Do they use different bands in different parts of the Country or do they use the same bands everywhere. Could someone please help me with this I can’t ask support because my internet is never working when they are open. All I have is there 100gb data plan and no phone with a plan. Also everytime I have ask for help here no one ever answer. I hope maybe this time someone would and could help me with this. I’ll wait 2 days and if there is no help then I know none is coming and Cricket support is just a name made of words to make Cricket blame the problem on others. Help! Help! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hotspot, not so hot
I use the “unlimited data & hotspot” services and once working, the hotspot seems to work well, but - for some reason, every month, when I renew my service (with autopay) my hotspot does not work... it shows that the data is there and paid for, but my phone (iPhone 6s+) will not use it... until I call cricket and they do something that then, activates it. And, of course, you have to go down every avenue to speak to a human. Do other people have to go through this? Any suggestions?
lte service is so slow sonce 5g came to town
Back before 5G, the lte service was so fast in most places, and okay in others. Nowadays lte service is horrible, so slow to tune of 1-4mbps downloading. Upload is like 1mbps. I know, reset network settings. Be close to towers. Use fast phone. Have plan with high speed rating, which I have. Nothing solves issue. Seems I’m not alone as I browse this forum. How many others experiencing this same issue? I’m in the Philadelphia suburbs and sometimes had speed of 70mbps downloading before 5G came around. This seems like I’m paying for no -throttling and yet am throttled at less than the throttled speed. Been this way for months now. Considering switching to another carrier to get faster speeds and a new 5G phone, which seems to be the end game AT&T and Cricket seems to want.
Cricket Protect will not accept my claim.
I'm not sure why, but when I tried to file a claim on my daughter's phone it says the phone is not eligible for this type of repair. I know i have insurance plan on her phone. I just bought it last month and I just need the screen fixed from an accident. I was hoping to not have to pay a fortune to get it fixed. Any suggestions?
Double First Ring
My gf is accusing me of being on the phone when she calls because the phone sometimes rings differently. She claims it has a long double first ring. Whatever that means. I googled it and told her it's just Cricket trying to find a tower to connect to but she doesn't believe me because Verizon does the double ring according to her. Is it true that there is a different ring callers hear if I'm on a call already? Is this a feature something I can change?
wifi calling doesn't work on 2 phones
I have 4 lines with cricket, 2 are actual cricket phones and neither of them are able to use wifi calling. Keep getting the oops error message after we enter the address. I've contacted support several times and they have been unable to resolve. I went to the store and got a new Sim card for on of them and that didn't work either. More than a little frustrated at this point. Not sure what the problem is, we've checked the IMEI number, checked the address. Any other ideas?Thanks
Cricket cancelled my 22+ year phone number
I've been a Cricket customer for over 22+ years. Prior to Cricket, the cell phone providers used to be PrimeCo, US Cellular which has been bought over the years which is now known as Cricket. Over the years, I have never missed a payment and always encourage others to use the Cricket Company as their cell phone provider. My phone number has been my main source of communication with my family, friends, career, business purposes, coworkers, and other accounts over the years. I recently wrote to Cricket Wireless because they abruptly shut my phone service off on Thursday, February 11, 2021. I noticed that I haven’t received any sort of communications throughout the night. I replied to a sent text a message that was not delivered. I also couldn’t make any phone calls whereas I discovered an error message kept scrolling across my phone screen…. So I have a cricket account on which both me and my girlfriends phone is on the plan we use advanced messaging to text.So I noticed some strange things in her messages coming to me so I clicked on view details and it said reply to send her only and I click on that and it gave me a number of 62629.So when I tried to send a text message to that number it said I had to enter a valid 10-digit phone number.Also when I call her her calls are getting forwarded to her voicemail but it is a local 918 number where we live and I know that our voicemail numbers start with area code 317How can I find out who this other person is attached to this phone or is there another phone tied to her phone?
Data is too slow!!
LTE data is very slow for me recently. I don’t know what’s wrong. Most of time download is less than 1 Mbps. Before pandemic, I remember it usually was about 6 to 7 Mbps. I tested using another virtual carrier, which also use AT&T networks, with the same phone same location almost same time, it has more than 10 Mbps. Please help. Thanks.
Pausing payments while at Army Basic Training
I will be leaving for Army Basic Training in the next month and am wondering if Cricket Wireless offers an option to halt payments for the duration of my training period. Basic Training is 10 weeks long (12 with processing) and I will not be able to access my phone during so. I do not wish to cancel my plan, but do not want to continue to pay for wireless service I will not use. Thankyou for any responses in advance.
Cricket hotspot service is the worse I have used, I'm going back to a 3rd. party service and use my own AT&T hotspot.
It all started right off at the Cricket Store they don’t know their ass from a hole in the ground. First I made sure my AT&T hotspot would work with Cricket and put in the numbers and was told yes it will work. Then I went to chat gave them the numbers and was told yes you can use your AT&T hotspot. When I went to the store the girl who had just started and had been there 2 weeks started setting me up. She took the sim a made it the smallest it would go and then told me Sir our sim is to small for your hotspot you will have to buy 1 of our Moxee Hotspots to use a Cricket Sim. I told her you made it to little and she said you can only use the smallest sim with Cricket. That is dumb it does not matter what size the sim is they hold the same info. large, med, or small she made it to little for my hotspot. I need to know WHY my NEW 5G phone STILL isn't good enough for Cricket?
Last year my entire family bought new phones. Last month my daughter had issues with hers so when she put her sim card back in Cricket suspended her account and we were informed that none of our barely a year old phones would work anymore. That Cricket would only use and support 4G and 5G phones. So me and my husband just decided to go ahead and buy new 5G $400 phones. We go to put our sim cards in and we are then told that these new 5G $400 phones are not good enough for the Cricket service so they suspend both of our service and tell us we will have to purchase NEW PHONES FROM THEM to continue to use Cricket. I kept telling them that these are 5G phones but NO they are good enough….WHY? I can’t afford to pay for another phone. MAYBE if Cricket would allow all the existing customers to use the “New Customer” rates since they are FORCING their customers to upgade. Set up phone to use my Google Voice's voicemail
I now have an unlocked Google pixel phone. On my previous phones calls to my Cricket number that were unanswered would go to the voicemail box of my Google Voice number, but now with this new phone I can't do the same call forwarding set up any more. I tried *74 followed by the google voice number but got "we couldn't connect that call"I tried *74 followed by the google voice number followed by #, and got "connection problem or invalid MMI code."How do I set up my Cricket number so that it does this call forwarding when the phone is not answered? Moved to weak signal area, need budget signal repeater or booster advice.
We moved and only get 0-1 bar inside home, outside 1-2 bars. Tower location known. Our signal is around -111db. We have an iPhone6, I am unsure what frequency range we will need on booster. What is a good budget repeater or booster?
Cricket Protect not worth it
I'm really disappointed in the Cricket Protect Plan. My husband and I both purchased LG Stylo 6 phones new at our local Cricket store last year. We added the insurance plan because at the time, it seemed like a good idea to protect our investment. My husband recently dropped his phone and the screen cracked. I thought we'd pay the $29 for cracked screen repair. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We apparently don't have any techs in our area, which is something that would be helpful to know upon signing up. The cost to replace the phone was going to be a $75 deductible plus tax. Currently, that is more expensive than buying a new phone of the same style at our local Cricket store! Not to mention, the hundreds of dollars we wasted on the protection plan on both phones over the last year. Save your money.

My name is Darlene C. On March 13, 2021 I ordered a LG Stylo 6 to upgrade my phone. I paid 149.99 for the phone and a $25 upgrade fee +tax. Total $187.49. It was supposed to be delivered on March 15, because I was moving out of state on the 16th and made that clear in a chat when I ordered the phone online. Well, my phone never came on Monday. I got an email from ups while I was at the airport on my first layover, stating that my package would arrive that day between 2-4 pm. I immediately called cricket, and told them that my phone did not arrive the day before like it was supposed to be, and that I was at the airport at my first layover and I was no longer at the address. The cricket rep was very rude and acted like it was my fault, and told me I needed to call UPS myself and take care of it. I was on the phone 57 minutes with cricket. He gave me a phone number for UPS, and I tried calling right away and he had gave me the wrong phone number. I didn't arrive at my destination till lat
Since March 1st I haven’t been getting any service where I live and before I could..I made a complaint and they said their working on the tower and it would be fixed.So I had service for a week or two and now I have No Service again.Can you please get the towers situated with my area so I can have coverage.
