Constant disable of wifi on lg fortune 2
This seems awfully shady. My home Wifi continues to disable on my 5 day old fortune 2. No problem with any other devices at home. I enable on my phone and even in the middle of a task it turns off and I get a "no internet available" message. This happens both when mobile data is on or off. If it is on then I am unknowingly using my data allotment. Cricket should do something about this issue because it seems to be happening to not just LG fortune but other phones as well. I feel I will be forced into the unlimited plan as to not go over my data allotment.

why does Cricket LIE about 5G Service?
Based on my current experience, and the information I read in the community forum, Cricket LIED to all their customers. We are told by Cricket that we can "bring our own device" that is vetted by Cricket to be 5g compatible. Yet as soon as we switch to Cricket and activate our 5g phone...we find out that our 5g compatible phone IS NOT 5G COMPATIBLE with Cricket. We are then told that only Cricket phones can get 5g service.Guess what? This is considered FALSE ADVERTISING, and has been illegal for years. So how does Cricket, as well as all other wireless companies get away with illegal practices?
I have been a Cricket customer for a couple of years now and, for the most part, happy with the service. We have two phones, both the same Samsung model, and I had a hotspot on mine. We were in the store yesterday to purchase a phone and hotspot for my father-in-law and the girl behind the counter convinced my wife that we needed to switch to a new plan that would give both of us a hotspot for the same monthly payment. So she switched us. However it appears that the hotspot will not work with our phones. Strange because it's been working with mine for almost 2 years. No one bothered to check and see if our phones would work and they won't let me go back to my original plan. I'm thinking that I see a new provider in my future.
10GB plan vs Unlimited
I used to be on the 5 line grandfathered plan for $100. Cricket made me change (July) and since then my data speeds haven’t been great. First I went to the Unlimited $55 plan (4 lines for $100) during peak times the data became unusable, <1Mbps. In the Bay Area and then traveling to Vegas, Dallas and NYC I tried switching to the 10GB plan as in theory the data isn’t slowed during peak times. I am still seeing data slow <5 Mbps during busy times with LTE full bars on a iPhone XR and an Android with 5G. Non busy times I’ll hit about 30-60Mbps. I went to this plan even though it’s 4 lines for $110, $10 more a month thinking there’s no slowdown so said the Cricket CSRAnyone have an opinion on this? I was trying to avoid paying $130 for the Unlimited Premium w/ 4 lines.
Hotspot doesn’t turn on
Hey,I got a cricket phone called cool pad, I got me an unlimited data plan for $60, and I added a hotspot feature for $10. I cannot turn on the hotspot on the phone, I just get a message that I should look up how to set it up online. I do own an IPhone and switched my card over to the iPhone, but unfortunately I cannot turn on the hotspot as well. Any ideas? Thanks
Where is customer loyalty perk??
Cricket seems no longer able to satisfy existing customers with loyalty perks. I can easily switch to another carrier and save lots of money. I've been a customer for over 7 years and cricket has made no effort to keep me happy. I'm seeing a lot of the same from reading different posts. Very unfortunate considering the above and beyond service I've experienced in previous years.
I was told I had 7 days to add insurance and said ok I will call. Well I call and they will not say I had to go in to store. I was never told this. It is 4:00 and the store closes at 5:00 ( I live an hr or more from store). When I told chat representative I didn't have time to go in he said they don't close for 3 or 4 more hrs. I said no it is Sunday. Had I known I had to go in I would have earlier this week as one of the person with a phone went out of town fri so I don't even have access to that phone. I was told I could over phone but no and now I have no protection so I will probably be going back to my old service when my month is up as this is no way to start off with being told the wrong info and not having any coverage.
Hotspot or suspend
I tried to get hotspot added to my phone. But because it is not on your list hotspot is not added and my phone is not compatible to your system. Now because I was using hotspot with not being add3ed to my account you suspend and will do so, so now you will get the remainder money for free at my expense. What is wrong here. I get in p rouble for using a service tthat is not suppose to work ob your system, but it does. To usersl....find a service that includes hotspot in the price and don't matter of the phone. Thanks for sealing my money.
Ordered a new phone w/sim card...have to activate it yet...want to know if I can install this SIM CARD into my Android LG instead of the phone I got in the mail. Phone is too small for my hands and the Android fits my hands better...originally got phone from the cricket store in Aug. of 2017 in Jacksonville, Fl. let service expire a few months ago and want to reinstate the phone using the new SIM CARD...IS THIS POSSIBLE?? If can't answer on forum please forward to tech support and maybe they can answer this question or email me the answer::. THANK-YOU. [Edited for privacy-This is a public forum. ordered placed but never shipped out for more than 20 days!!!
I called the customer service to order a new phone to upgrade my current 3g phone on Jan 3rd. I received email confirmation with order number: 2225806324513097 and then shipping confirmation email with a Fedex shipping track number: 551419658808 quickly after that. But when I traced the order on Fedex, it always showed: The delivery date may be updated when FedEx receives the package. I called Fedex many time after that, they told me they never receive the package from cricket yet. I also regularly checked my order status on cricket online and called customer service many times. They always told me to wait and wait, even this order is a 2 business days shipping order. On Jan 10th, my old 3g phone suddenly lost service and when I chat with the customer service online. I was told the new device was activated that caused my old phone lost service. But Fedex didn’t receive the package and deliver it to me yet. How could it be activated? Since then I chatted with customer service online 3-4
I purchased a Samsung Gaxaly A51 5G from my local Cricket store in Hutchinson, KS.I know I don’t live in the 5G service area, however, I went to the Wichita KS area which is showing to be a 5G low band area on the coverage map. While I was in the area, my service Icon never changed off of LTE, I was expecting maybe to see a 5GE or even 5G.So my question is do I need a sim card, or a different APN setting other than what was on the phone when it was pulled out of the box.
Android phone with wifi calling
I absolutely need wifi calling, since cell phone reception is dreadful where I live (1 bar.) Lots of missed calls going straight to voice mail. Is there an Android phone (not iOS) that has reliable wifi calling on Cricket? I don't care about fancy features like camera, stylus etc. Just need reliable wifi calling.P.S. I have seen the official list of Cricket phones that support wifi calling. I'm looking for feedback from customers who actually use wifi calling on their phone and are happy with it. TIA!
Hotspot, not so hot
I use the “unlimited data & hotspot” services and once working, the hotspot seems to work well, but - for some reason, every month, when I renew my service (with autopay) my hotspot does not work... it shows that the data is there and paid for, but my phone (iPhone 6s+) will not use it... until I call cricket and they do something that then, activates it. And, of course, you have to go down every avenue to speak to a human. Do other people have to go through this? Any suggestions?
