I am a Cricket Wireless customer. I've been having trouble with texts from my Google Voice number being blocked when sent to Cricket Wireless (I don't use my "real" Cricket Wireless number, do everything via my Google Voice number) and AT&T numbers. I've done some digging on the web and the problem seems to stem from Cricket Wireless and it's parent company AT&T somehow flagging my Google Voice number as spam. My Google Voice number is strictly for personal use and I send maybe 5 or 6 texts a day so don't know how it would have been flagged. I found this thread on the Google Forums and apparently the fix needs to come from Cricket/AT&T engineers https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/voice/GR-dsPvZQJE/UccFgy5GDgAJ
I had a previous number with Republic wireless however the phone got stolen and I later opened a new services with cricket. However, I would like to use the same number that I had before. Can you pls advice if it is possible I'm willing to pay for the fee if there is any. Thanks.
Ordered a new phone w/sim card...have to activate it yet...want to know if I can install this SIM CARD into my Android LG instead of the phone I got in the mail. Phone is too small for my hands and the Android fits my hands better...originally got phone from the cricket store in Aug. of 2017 in Jacksonville, Fl. let service expire a few months ago and want to reinstate the phone using the new SIM CARD...IS THIS POSSIBLE?? If can't answer on forum please forward to tech support and maybe they can answer this question or email me the answer::. THANK-YOU. [Edited for privacy-This is a public forum. When I have a voicemail I click on my visual voicemail app click on speaker & press play, it plays for 2 seconds & stops on it's own deselecting the speaker button on it's own. I have to press play & speaker again. I've never had this problems using visual voicemail with another carrier.
When trying to activate a "Call Waiting" feature, I get the following error message "Unexpected response from network". Tried different Android phones as well as a dumb-phone, so the problem is definitely not with my phone and/or its settings. The problem has to do with the network and its settings on the provider side. Contacted the Cricket Support, but without success. Also, tried to manually query and activate as follows:status query *#43# <DIAL>Response: "Call waiting: Service has been disabled" to activate: *43# <DIAL>Response: "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
My data speed is being throttled at 3mbps and it keeps cutting in and out intermittently, I have the Unlimited Max plan on two devices and they are both doing the same thing. I'm not going to pay for a feature (8mbps dl) if i cant use it and the fact the the signal is dropping completley is bogus, i just moved over from att (whome is the parent company of cricket and uses the same network) and i never had this issue. The sales rep assured me that this exact thing wouldnt happen, I am very unpleased.
I just switched to Cricket. Got a free Alcatel Verso. I live where there is No Cell Service. I do have DSL and Wifi.I need to be able to text via wifi. I used to be able to do it on my Droid mini, with verizon. That phone broke, and they dont make them anymore. (I really liked it too)I dont want some "chat" "phone number". Any Ideas? Thanks
