I currently have the grandfathered 5 lines for $100 plan.  I would like to be able to make call and send text messages while I am on vacation in Mexico.  I initially talked to cricket customer service and they said I can add international calling features for 1 month.  When I went online to add the international calling feature it only mentions making calls to landline numbers in 35 countries, it does not say you can receive calls.  Is it possible to be able to add international calling and place and receive calls and texts while in Mexico.  Calls would be from and to the US.

Mexico is on the list of countries, but I am concerned with what is listed on the details for the international calling plans.  It only says call to the countries on the list, it does not mention making calls from Mexico.

Outside of the area code that you're dialing (but still within Mexico) you would also dial the area code, then the phone number. To call a Mexican cell phone from outside the country you would dial the country code (52) then the area code and phone number.

Hi @Zackary !

Thanks for your comment. The Cricket International and Cricket International Extra features provide you calling from the U.S to the countries available. Unfortunately, these features do not include roaming in these countries, and this function is not available on the grandfathered rate plan.

If you like access to roaming in Mexico & Canada, then you can switch all lines to the unlimited core plan which would be $125/mo for 5 lines. Please know that if you decide to change rate plans, you would not be able to switch back to grandfathered plan again.
