really bad signal

In September i was forced ( i had not choice) to transition my 5 lines from  the 5 for $100 plan i had since 2016 to a new plan that is $20 more. I was told this was b/c of upgrades in the system ( to 5G?).

OUr service has been spotty or unreliable ever since and particularly bad during last 4-6weeks. (dropped calls, calls redirected to voice mail even though phone not in use, text messages delayed by minutes, hours, even days or just not delivered)

Finally realized the only calls working are Wi-FI calls. WE ARE NOT EVEN USING OUR SERVICE!
A closer look under  Settings → PHone → sim  indicates signal ranging from -103dBm to -123dBM.  THIS IS “non-functional” by any definition.
All maps say I’m 5G and I can almost see the tour from my back patio. No buildings etc.. it’s country and all the leaves are gone b/c it’s winter.

Two other phones confirm this lack of signal.
i’ve spent well over 3hrs calling signal between yesterday and today. (mostly on hold)
and not answers even though they promised to “user their tools to look into it”

Any suggestions for fixing the issue or getting any satisfaction from signal are greatly appreciated.

Dear Cricket Community,

I’ve been a customer since 2016, never missed or late on any bills.
Yes the plan is cheap but the service should actually work when you need it.

I’ve been trying to resolve some issues w/ my cell phone for 14 days-. After 2-3 days calling and chatting and spending hours on hold,  I found this forum and thought at least now I dont wait on hold.

After 12 days of PRIVATE messages they “started a new case” without asking. They only informed me after the fact.. “we closed the last one”

The history, technical notes and all my effort appears to have disappeared with it.
Because they could not get in touch w/ my cell phone. Oh the irony.

CUSTOMER BEWARE:

SAVE/SCREENSHOT YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES. IT may be the only record you get.

Just for the record this has not been resolved. It’s 14 days in the works.
As the history indicates there were some “private messages”
Cricket closed that case after 12 days with no resolution AND started a new private message with me.
Because they could not contact my cell phone.  It appears they tried twice and only once left a voice message… that message contained only a staticy noise. no voice. no identification. “hey this is cricket calling”.  No number. No message. No nothing

In any case starting a new private message appears to have removed the 1st private message and the 14 day history our interactions.

NOTE TO CUSTOMER: take screen shots. Key a log.

Dear ds329a,

I’m note sure how the comment to contact private messaging got bumped up to a “best answer”.
I’ve communicated with them via PM but have still not resolved the issues w/ my phone/service.
I’ve been redirected but the problem has not been resolved via PM. in short no answer yet.

I appreciate this forum as it’s kept me from wasting time waiting on hold or in chats. There have been some responses and info in the PMs  but at the end of day (end of several days now)  they are providing limited responses and information and my service has not improved.

IN short I don’t have an answer yet.

Hi @tcbishop ! We are sorry to hear of your service issue and would be glad to take a closer look into this for you. May you send us a Private Message at @CricketSupport containing the name and wireless number associated with your account, along with the complete address of where you experience your service issues.
