We will be going on a cruise in Europe and have the ships internet package. we don’t care about making calls but is it possible to send/receive texts? We both have android phones (Samsung and Moto) but i noted when I tried to test if able to receive texts in airplane mode with Wi-Fi on, you had to turn on WI-FI calling. I’m trying to figure out if turning on WI-FI calling so we could get our texts would work in another country or if we just need to stick with emails. Thanks.

Hi @rnmikey! Thanks for reaching out to us via our Cricket Community Forum! While we cannot guarantee the SMS will work over Wi-Fi, you can use Wi-Fi Calling as long as you have a good Wi-Fi connection. Please know that you will need to have Wi-Fi Calling set up on your device before leaving the US. You can also call and/or use messaging on different apps like Facebook, Duo, WhatsApp, etc. You will also be able to use email service while on Wi-Fi. Hopefully, this provides clarity on your question.
