Hello, please I just bought a New Cricket Phone but I cannot receive international calls on my new SIM. What could possibly be the problem?

Please I bought a Cricket p with the SIM card. I activated a $30 monthly plan and have been able to make calls Here. I wanted my family from Ghana to call me on my New cricket number but they said when they dial, it goes like "you have dialed a wrong number"
I want to be able to receive international calls on my number because that is why I bought it
