Why cant I get hotspot? Stylo 3

My husbands was waiting for his warranty phone as we waited for his shipment (memorial day weekend) he would put his sim card on my phone to use for that weekend, I was told hotspot would not work on stylo 3, but yet when my husband put his sim card on my stylo his hotspot worked perfectly with no issues, so I dont understand why I cant add hotspot what so ever, when will that feature be available for stylo 3? I live in a small town and internet providers are limited here, hotspot would be very convenient!

The hotspot feature will not work on any LG Stylo device unless you are on a Grandfathered data plan and have the hotspot feature.  We are working very hard to get the Stylo added to the list of eligible devices.  You can keep track of all the latest news at the link below!
