Will my iphone work in England if I have the app whatsapp?

I don't want to switch carriers, so is there a way to use my cell while over there to connect with friends there?

@Carmen-2  Hi Carmen, we will be happy to help! The whatsapp will work if you are connected to Wi-Fi. Once you are out of Wi-Fi you will have no service.

You know very well that you need an internet connection to use WhatsApp, so if you go to England trip with a Complete data plan, you will have no problem staying connected with your friends. but in the case if you are having an issue with WhatsApp then you can also try this GBWhatsApp to stay connected with your friends and lose your connection with friends.
