Moto G 7 Supra will not log in to cricket wireless network

Jump to solution

I purchased Moto G 7 Supra, activated at a local franchise dealer.  The moment I got home, I realized something  was amiss   Will only make/receive call/text when the WiFi calling is toggled on and I am signed on a wi fi network.  I chatted for more than 3 hours with Cricket and Moto people.  I heard everything from wait 24 hours for the system to catch up to a local tower was undergoing maintenance, to not worry, it will be good in a couple of days.

Cricket chat team had me go over the usual troubleshooting up to and including factory reset.   When I power the phone, 'commserver has started' appears.  The phone reads Cricket on the upper right screen, the upper left has zero bars for signal service   Any function I attempt using any Cricket app is rejected.  I put a working Cricket sim from another active cricket phone.  Still no relief.   Now the drama

I do not trust the dealer I purchased the phone from.  I caught him in 2 lies the first day.  Today(I thought 6th day, he said 7th)I was asking about returning the phone.   I told him I spilled water on the original receipt, could he print one from the store.  He tried to sway me to wait and contact Motorolla.  During the discussion, he said if he did not work there he would thump me.

I will not go back to the store.  I felt he lied and threatened me.  I will contact Motorola tomorrow.

Meantime, has anyone heard of this phone acting this way?  It shows the IMEI is registered as well as ICCD(?) but I am not able to connect to Cricket Mobile.  I even switched APN to no avail       Thanks all

@WyonJames Thanks for posting on the forum! We do offer a 7-day Return Policy on all of our new devices. You must return the phone to the store you purchased it from. If you've exceeded the return window, we also offer a 1-Year Warranty on all of our new phones. To make a warranty claim visit https://warranty.cricketwireless.com and follow the prompts on the site, or contact the Returns Center at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538) for assistance. The support center will troubleshoot the device malfunction over the phone and provide instructions for the warranty return, if applicable. However, we suggest doing a SIM swap first to rule out a SIM card error. Please contact Cricket Support on Twitter @cricketsupport or on Facebook at m.me/cricketwireless if you need additional assistance.
