no 5G after plan upgrade

Been with Cricket almost 10 years and just upgraded to the Unlimited with 5G plan for iPhone 12 - however it’s not working. It’s been 3 days and I’m still on LTE (which seems even slower now) 

Restarted the phone multiple times, removed and inserted the SIM card and all that to no avail. 
Tries to contact Cricket support past 2 days (phone and web) and been on hold for an hour+ 

Anyone have insights on how to get this to work?  Will I Need a new SIM card ?

@joblo999 you do know that 5G isn’t available everywhere, right? I would check Cricket’s coverage map first. Cricket also requires you to be on their $60 plan. You might also want to try resetting your network settings.
