Simcard gets blocked when I put it in iPhone

I bought a iPhone 7plus and when i put a sim card in it it says that the phone has been reported lost or stolen and to call cricket etc. the imei number is all good and is not blacklisted. Does anyone know what could be causing this.

Hi @Adam02 thank you for posting on our forum. Normally when the device is reported lost or stolen by the previous owner hey lock up the device with the icloud account. If the device is blacklisted the service will not work at all. Was the device purchased from someone else?
