Cricket Protect not worth it
I'm really disappointed in the Cricket Protect Plan. My husband and I both purchased LG Stylo 6 phones new at our local Cricket store last year. We added the insurance plan because at the time, it seemed like a good idea to protect our investment. My husband recently dropped his phone and the screen cracked. I thought we'd pay the $29 for cracked screen repair. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We apparently don't have any techs in our area, which is something that would be helpful to know upon signing up. The cost to replace the phone was going to be a $75 deductible plus tax. Currently, that is more expensive than buying a new phone of the same style at our local Cricket store! Not to mention, the hundreds of dollars we wasted on the protection plan on both phones over the last year. Save your money.

My name is Darlene C. On March 13, 2021 I ordered a LG Stylo 6 to upgrade my phone. I paid 149.99 for the phone and a $25 upgrade fee +tax. Total $187.49. It was supposed to be delivered on March 15, because I was moving out of state on the 16th and made that clear in a chat when I ordered the phone online. Well, my phone never came on Monday. I got an email from ups while I was at the airport on my first layover, stating that my package would arrive that day between 2-4 pm. I immediately called cricket, and told them that my phone did not arrive the day before like it was supposed to be, and that I was at the airport at my first layover and I was no longer at the address. The cricket rep was very rude and acted like it was my fault, and told me I needed to call UPS myself and take care of it. I was on the phone 57 minutes with cricket. He gave me a phone number for UPS, and I tried calling right away and he had gave me the wrong phone number. I didn't arrive at my destination till lat
Since March 1st I haven’t been getting any service where I live and before I could..I made a complaint and they said their working on the tower and it would be fixed.So I had service for a week or two and now I have No Service again.Can you please get the towers situated with my area so I can have coverage.
Beware when you add hotspot feature.
I’m very disappointed plus some of experience with chat to Cricket agents regarding after add the hotspot feature due to pandemic for my kids school work , please beware in following:1 - when you have old contract with 5 lines $100 deal, you can’t stay back to your original plan if add hotspot to one of your line. (cricket never warning their customer about this) 2 - 3/13 for first chat with agent Andrew; since they said they cannot give me back the original plan, I request to cancel one of my line with hotspot service (because they said the plan has been changed) start on next billing cycle since it already billed me. Unfortunately, when i checked one of my line with hotspot already cancel next day and they put $35 credit to my account for next billing to use.3 - 3/15 for second chat with agent Logan S; i try to explained to her regarding Cricket made mistake cancel my last line with hotspot service and request resumed and don’t want the credit for next billing cycle. Removing features through app
I no longer need the extra data nor hotspot features through my phone, in looking through the mycricket app there is every avenue imaginable to add anything to a line of service but I can't find one to remove a feature , can someone please help me find where to do this at....
Referral credit not received as promised
So I took my two old friends into a store to change service from T-Mobile to Cricket. After a grueling 3 hours of trying to port over their phone numbers, I was told I would be contacted the following day regarding the referral credit. That call never came. I was told to send them my referral code via email, which I did, but their service was already activated by that time (we were literally still waiting at the store). She couldn’t figure out how to apply the credits after service had been activated and said she would chat with her manager and get back to me. The app only shows the progress as “referral codes sent” and won’t move to the “claimed” stage. This is frustrating because Cricket hyped up this referral process.
sims card and if it is going to be locked if I put it in my old phone or will it work for me ?
Will the sims card work in any other cricket phone or will it lock up the card if I try it and it won't work in the phone that I have it in now because I don't have any way to get it charged and the cricket store is a very long way from me and I am going to be without a phone if I don't do anything to get the problem solved and I have a good phone just not sure if I can do that and I am not going to get the answer from the bot or I would already have the answer to that question and I don't have any time to wait for a live person to help me out with the damn simple question I am asking
website and phone system wont let me buy hotspot!!!
The Cricket Wireless app and the Cricket Wireless website will not let me buy mobile hotspot. I've done it many many times before on the website is simply not working. I've also tried to do it over the phone, which I have done many many times before, and the phone system won't even give me an option to buy hotspot. It's been taken off of the phone system. It says that there is customer service until 11 p.m. and that's b******* because I keep calling them at 8pm and they won't answer or help me it just says that they're gone and to call back at regular hours. It would be nice if the website or the phone system could give an explanation as to why it's not working. Really really frustrating to the point that it gets me very pissed off
Why cant I get hotspot? Stylo 3
My husbands was waiting for his warranty phone as we waited for his shipment (memorial day weekend) he would put his sim card on my phone to use for that weekend, I was told hotspot would not work on stylo 3, but yet when my husband put his sim card on my stylo his hotspot worked perfectly with no issues, so I dont understand why I cant add hotspot what so ever, when will that feature be available for stylo 3? I live in a small town and internet providers are limited here, hotspot would be very convenient!
Won't send text messages, says Cricket here! we are sorry but your text message failed. Your destination not supported from your current location. I'm in Baja CA, Mexico and trying to text someone in the USA.However I CAN respond to text messages and they go through. I have the all everything unlimited plan. Any ideas or solutions would be apreciated... contacted Cricket wireless support and they couldn't figure out why... no help.
Welcome, do not try to make things right with customer service via live nor email. I never received rewards last year and now told via email because live agent did not understand me, that refer a friend does not exist and not to contact them about it. I am a liar I suppose. I got screwed out of $$ twice now, refer a friend incident is too long to type but beware. Is that a question?
WiFi enabling give error message
WE ARE BEYOND FRUSTRATED!! Two weeks ago, our Wi-Fi calling just shut off. We had been with ATT for 24 years - always had Wi-Fi calling when it became available. We switched to Cricket. We had it for a few weeks and it just switched off. When we go to enable Wi-Fi calling, we receive an error.It say: “ACCESS DENIED - You don’t have permission to access http://www.cricketwireless.com/v1/wificalling/subtoken/ on the server. Reference# 18.4505e8ac.1613195266.29835f5”We have spoke to 4 reps on 611 over the issue. We went through the trouble shooting playbook every single time! Take out Sim Card, put sim card back in. Clear out Network settings. Restart Phone. Put phone in airplane mode - get data off of your Wi-Fi. Turn Wi-Fi off - get data of of phone. Update iPhone to 14.4 software,ect… TOTAL INSANITY to have to go through FOUR times. One rep gave us the customer service number to Apple. Hot Spot and Android Phone Eligibility
I've been a happy cricket customer for a few years now. Job changes made mobile hotspot increasingly attractive/important. Using this list of eligible phones (https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/mobile-wifi/hotspot-eligible-phones.html#), I went out and purchased a Galaxy S10. I then upgraded my phone plan to include hot spot. But it wouldn't work. After a few hours of frustrating conversations with customer support, I was informed that BYOD (bring your own device) Android phones are not eligible for hotspot. The list says they are. I was told the only solution was to switch to an Apple phone or buy an S10 straight from Cricket. I can find no place on Cricket's website that provides this critical piece of information. If this is in fact the case (please verify, I'm not confident in the customer service rep's answer), Cricket, can you please make this apparent - I and others relied on that information to make large purchasing
Port Out Scam
I’m also a victim of this port out scam. My phone # was disconnected and ported out without my knowledge on September 13th. I have been calling Cricket everyday for over a month now and am getting nowhere. The customer service reps are rude and uncaring. I was without service for six days without knowing it and all they were willing to do is give me a new phone #, but I had to pay for a new SIM card and activation fees (I had to go to the Cricket store every day to call customer service until they gave me a temporary #). This is totally unacceptable. They don’t seem to be taking this situation seriously. It’s all about the money. I just want MY phone # back, the one that I’ve had for thirty years and brought with me when I signed up with Cricket. Fortunately the other #’s on my account weren’t affected which is good, but I’m the account holder and the one that pays the bill. Where’s the service that I’m paying for? Cricket data is too slow
LTE data is very slow for me recently. I don’t know what’s wrong. Most of time download is less than 1 Mbps. Before pandemic, I remember it usually was about 6 to 7 Mbps. I tested using another virtual carrier, which also use AT&T networks, with the same phone same location almost same time, it has more than 10 Mbps. Please help. Thanks.
Block all incoming calls except pre-authorized?
Greetings.In this day-and-age of constant scam calls, does Cricket offer any way to block all calls except for those pre-authorized? Or is there an app that you recommend for doing this?I'm getting tired of blocking specific numbers just to have them call using a different number. If I could auth only certain numbers (say from my contact list) to come through that would be great. Thank you.
