IM SICK OF CARRIERS WHO DO NOT ALLOW MMS OVER WIFI BECAUSE SOME OF US WHO ARE IN A SO CALLED RURAL AREA CANNOT SEND OR RECEIVE MESSAGES WHEN WIFI CALLING IS OUR ONLY OPTION BECAUSE CARRIERS REFUSE TO BUILD TOWERS IM ONLY 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM AN AT&T SIGNAL I ONLY HAVE ONE CARRIER OPTION AT MY HOME WHICH IS CSPIRE AND THEY DO NOT SUPPORT voLTE OR WIFI CALLING AND THAT IS A REQUIRMENT FOR ME AND THEY RIGHT OUT SUCK I SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THEM BUT BROKE IT AFTER IT WAS UNRELIABLE SERVICE EVERY WEEK THEY WERE DOWN AND WOULDNT REIMBURSE US EVERY MONTH THEY ALSO DO NOT TELL YOU THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THOSE FEATURES WHEN EVERY OTHER CARRIER IN AMERICA HAS THOSE FEATURES I HAVE ALSO BEEN FIGHTING AT&T FOR OVER A DECADE TO BUILD A TOWER IN THIS CITY I HAVE MOVED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES AND THERE SIGNAL ALWAYS SUCKS WITH JUST 1 BAR WITH SPARADIC SERVICE OR NO BARS AT ALL WHEN ARE CARRIERS GOING TO REALIZE THAT TOWERS DO NOT WORK THEY ALSO WANT TO BUILD TOWERS IN AREAS THAT DONT NEED THEM OR THEY WILL HAVE 2 OR 3 NEXT TO EACH OTHER I LIVE IN A MULTI SUBDIVISION WITH HUNDREDS OF HOUSES OFF OF A MAIN HIGHWAY I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY WE ARE NOT FIRST PRIORITY AND CANT GET MORE TOWERS IF THERE IS A WRECK ON THE HIGHWAY YOU COULDNT CALL FAMILY VERIZON DOESNT HAVE A TOWER AT&T DOESNT HAVE A TOWER SPRINT DOESNT HAVE A TOWER IT MAKES NO SENSE BUT YET YOU CAN GO OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN AND PICK UP AN AT&T SIGNAL THEY ACT LIKE WE ARE OFF OF THE GRID I HAVE USED AT&T MARK THE SPOT APP FOR YEARS AND THEY JUST IGNORE IT BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN NOTHING IN OVER A DECADE I CANT EVEN PURCHASE AN OUTSIDE ANTENNA BECAUSE THERE IS NO SIGNAL AT ALL AND YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 BAR TO AMPLIFY THAT SIGNAL IF AT&T REFUSES TO BUILD TOWERS WHY CANT CRICKET BUILD TOWERS INSTEAD OF RELYING ON AT&T TOWERS

I have wifi calling but you do not allow mms over wifi

@RockyE That is strange if Wi-Fi calling works the text messages should work as well. Please message us on our Facebook or Twitter page to see if we can help with this issue.

This has been a problem for years several people have complained about it AT&T also restricts mms to cellular data only but if there is no tower signal we are just out of luck ive seen articles online where several people have used work arounds by changing the mobile dns server ip address but ive tried that and it still does not work

@RockyE Have you tried changing the sim card?

I have the newest sim card and its hell getting them because our store refuses to just sale sim cards they want to charge you an activation fee I have to order them online and have them shipped and it takes days so in convenient when our store should sale them or just give them away like AT&T does

Ive already had a ticket on this issue all reps have told me is its simply not allowed over wifi and of course noone ever calls back I also do not answer numbers that I do not recognize so if it does not say cricket wireless I will not answer

@RockyE What device do you have and please provide the last case number to read the notes on it?

I have the iphone 7 plus a supported device I had to get rid of my Note 9 so I could have wifi calling to make calls at my home and was pissed because I hate Apple products but you do not support the Note 9 I also do not have the case number that was about a year ago

@RockyE Ok well if you decide to give it another chance we can open another case for you and see if we can help resolve the issue. If the device was the iPhone the messages over Wi-Fi will not be an issue but as for the Note 9 that device we don't sale so some of the features will not be supported.

Opening up a new case does not solve anything just keeps me waiting longer when every rep has stated its unsupported and to just deal with it you need to rework your infrastructure to allow it

@RockyE Unfortunately, the Note 9 is device that we don't sell and support all features. You're more than welcome to purchase one of our Wi-Fi Calling capable android devices from our list below. That will allow you to use all the features needed.

I also will be getting rid of this phone and be going back to android I really want the Asus ROG phone 2 but of course it wont support wifi calling why do carries only support certain phones they should allow wifi calling for any device especially places in rural areas where they refuse to build towers and we have to rely on it

If you will go back and read my comments I do not have the Note 9 I had to sale it and this crappy iphone I hate just so I could have wifi calling but mms over wifi does not work because you need to rework your infrastructure

@RockyE The iPhone does work with the WiFi messaging. As stated before we can open the case, but you must be willing to answer the phone when the techs call for more information.

The iphone will only allow regular text messages you cannot send mms over wifi only imessages to other iPhone users when you try to send an mms to an android user it simply fails unless your connected to a cellular tower which is impossible for me as there is no nearby tower hence the reason for wifi calling

I have contacted cricket on twitter and have yet to receive a response I was banned from facebook in the past because they dont like negative comments that are true so I cant send a direct message
